This Privacy Policy explains how PlayTube ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application. By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

PlayTube does not require you to create an account or provide personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number to use its core features. We collect the following limited information:

• Automatically collected data: device identifiers, device model, operating system version, screen resolution, language, time zone, IP address, and general diagnostic data.
• Usage data: in-app actions, features used, search queries you enter in the App, playback history stored on your device, and crash reports.
• Advertising identifiers: your Google Advertising ID, used to serve and measure ads.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To operate, maintain, and provide the features of the App.
• To display and measure advertising.
• To process and validate in-app purchases and subscriptions.
• To analyze usage and improve performance and stability.
• To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse.

3. Video Content and YouTube

PlayTube is a media player that lets you search for and play publicly available online content, including content from YouTube. We do not host, own, or control this content. Your interaction with third-party content and services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies, including the Google Privacy Policy and YouTube Terms of Service. We do not store copies of the videos you play.

4. Advertising

The free version of the App is supported by advertising provided by Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may use device and advertising identifiers to serve personalized or non-personalized ads and to measure ad performance. You can learn more and manage your choices in the Google Advertising Policy. You may reset or limit ad tracking at any time in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads). Users who purchase a Premium subscription will no longer see ads.

5. Analytics and Crash Reporting

We use Google Analytics for Firebase and related Google services to understand how the App is used and to diagnose crashes. These tools may collect aggregated, non-identifying usage and diagnostic information. See the Firebase Privacy and Security page for details.

6. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

PlayTube offers optional Premium subscriptions (available on weekly, monthly, and yearly plans) that remove advertisements and support future development. All purchases and subscriptions are processed securely through Google Play Billing. We do not collect, receive, or store your payment card details or financial information — these are handled entirely by Google Play. We only receive confirmation of your purchase and subscription status so that we can unlock the corresponding features. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled; you can manage or cancel them at any time in your Google Play account settings.

7. Permissions We May Request

• Storage / Media: to save and access downloaded content and cache on your device.
• Display over other apps (overlay): to provide the floating / pop-up player.
• Notifications: to control playback and inform you about the App.
• Network access: to stream content and load ads.

Permissions are used only for the purposes described above and only while providing the related feature.

8. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information only with the service providers described in this policy (such as Google AdMob, Firebase, and Google Play) so they can perform their services, and only where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the public.

9. Data Retention

We retain automatically collected and usage data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy or as required by applicable law. Data stored locally on your device (such as playback history and cache) can be cleared by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

11. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data:

• GDPR (EU/EEA users): the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and the right to data portability.
• CCPA (California residents): the right to know what data is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information).

The App may contain links to or content from third-party websites and services that are not operated by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
